Rekindle your Christmas joy,
As it is not all about the gifts and toys,
Maybe…just maybe,Christmas means so much more !!

Gringle may have stolen Kringle, but Kringle
will save Christmas with these Kringle Kookies

INGREDIENTS

1 cup Butter (softened)
1 1/2 cups Granulated Sugar
2 Eggs
1 teaspoon Vanilla
1 teaspoon Peppermint Extract (or Almond, Lemon or Mint)
1/2 teaspoons Baking Soda
3 cups Flour (all-purpose)
Powdered Sugar

To make the Kringle vs Gringle dough, cream the butter and sugar until completely combined. Add in eggs, vanilla and peppermint extract and mix until the dough is fluffy. Add in the Baking Soda. Finally, mix in the flour, a third at a time. Refrigerate the dough for 2 hours.

Use Wilton Color Right food colouring to colour the cookie dough. Here are the combinations

Red – 5 drops of Crimson~ Kringle
Green – 3 drops of Yellow and 2 drops of Blue ~ Gringle
Color each of the portions of cookie dough Red and Green.

Roll the dough into balls.
Place the cookie dough ball in a bowl or plate of powdered sugar.
Roll the cookie dough ball in the powdered sugar until it is covered.
Keep the dough in the refrigerator between batches.
The Powdered Sugar on the outside of the Kringle & Gringle Kookies will bake up nicer if it is applied to refrigerated dough.
Bake the cookies in a 350 degree oven for 9-10 minutes.
